Ball State University seeks a non-tenure-line Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor or Lecturer of Clinical Exercise Physiology in the School of Kinesiology, which is part of the College of Health. Our Clinical Exercise Physiology Program was one of the first clinically based academic programs in the country and continues to operate the nation’s longest running community-based physical fitness program. We provide rigorous experiential learning opportunities for future clinical exercise professionals and deliver exercise testing and programming services to the surrounding communities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will teach 9 credit hours each fall and spring semester. Teaching assignments may include graduate courses in Clinical Exercise Physiology and undergraduate courses in Exercise Science. Three credit hours will be assigned for providing administrative support for various program needs, which may include collaborating with local health care providers, supervising exercise testing, and/or overseeing operations of the Adult Physical Fitness Program.
Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate or completion of doctoral degree requirements from an accredited institution by date of appointment in field closely related to Clinical Exercise Physiology OR related master’s degree from an accredited institution by date of appointment with significant non-teaching work experience; ability to teach courses in Clinical Exercise Physiology and Exercise Science; ability to supervise exercise testing and clinical exercise programs.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in teaching courses in Clinical Exercise Physiology; experience in directing and/or supervising graduate-level academic programs; experience with exercise testing and/or administration of clinical exercise programs; experience in professional societies; experience mentoring graduate students in research or clinical activities.
