Pay & Benefits:

• Compensation: $23.53 to $36.76 per hour wage based on experience and education
• Additional Pay: Shift Differential for weekends, Annual Increases, Paid Time Off

Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainer. This position administers athletic training services in a community or clinic setting under the supervision of a physician, and in accordance with the Alaska State Athletic Training Practice Act. These services include but are not limited to, school screenings, injury prevention programs, athletic consults, injury assessment, and treatment and case management of injured athletes/patients. This position frequently attends practices and games for area schools, athletic clubs, and community athletic events.

Responsibilities

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field from an accredited university training program. Must have passed the Board of Certification (BOC) exam and be currently certified as an Athletic Trainer. Must be currently licensed as an Athletic Trainer under the Alaska Division of Occupational Licensing. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.Must possess strong interpersonal communication and human relation skills. Requires ability to work in a team environment with a variety of health care professionals and providers. Must possess the ability to promote a positive working environment, as well as the ability to positively enhance community partnerships.Must have scheduling flexibility, as some evening and weekend work will be required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster's Degree preferred.At least 2 years experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer preferred.Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
