Phoenix Children's is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible sports medicine physician to join our growing division of sports medicine. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in pediatrics, emergency medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, or family medicine and have completed an ACGME-accredited Sports Medicine Fellowship program.
This is a 100% pediatric and adolescent sports medicine position within the Center of Pediatric Orthopedics at Phoenix Children's. The physician will provide care for a variety of sports-related injuries, including fracture management and concussions. The physician will also be responsible for high school team coverage and participation in the Barrow Neurologic Institute (BNI) at PCH Brain Injury and Concussion program. In addition to clinical duties, the physician will be expected to participate in teaching medical students, residents and fellows. In addition to expertise in the evaluation, management, and treatment of pediatric sports-related injuries, the ideal candidate will have a strong interest in clinical research and concussion management. They ideally will also have experience with fracture management and be comfortable working with both children of all ages as well as collegiate athletes. Experience with sports ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures is a plus.
The successful candidate will be integral to our pediatric sports medicine fellowship program and play a key role in the development and implementation of our sports medicine research agenda.
