Responsibilities
Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Health Education intern for the Department of Corporate Health. In this role, the intern will work alongside a team of innovative professionals and contribute to Atlantic's mission of delivering excellent healthcare services to our communities. The intern's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Assist with design, implementation, and evaluation of individual and population-based health promotion strategies to improve lifestyle choices and create a healthy corporate environment
Create and reviewing health literacy information (such as handouts, PPTs, lectures)
Work with the Coordinators of Corporate Health to design health and wellness program requirements,
Provide updates and statistics of programs at regular intervals
Create and conduct needs assessments of employees to further determine prevention and education program needs
Assemble, coordinate, and provide support to wellness coalitions
Perform related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University
Ideally pursing a degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Exercise Science or a similarly related field
Be in good academic standing
US Citizen or permanent resident
Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
Proficient with, Excel & Microsoft Office Suite
Canva experiences & video editing experience is a plus
Strong communication and public speaking service skills
Attentive to details
Motivated to grow professionally
