The Surgical Tech/Scrub Tech works under the supervision of the surgeon and RN. Assists surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed. Assists in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms. Day to Day duties: * Scrub on all cases. * Ortho heavy Dept. totals/trauma/ sports Medicine. Spine, Ortho Spine w/navigation, Podiatry, Plastics, Endo, Cysto, Urology, GI, Robotics (DaVinci XI/MAKO), Gen, ENT, Hands GYN, Urology. * Associates are cross trained for all services, no specialized service Teams. * Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations. * Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next day's cases. * Maintain Sterile field during procedures. * Handing instruments to surgeons, anticipating surgeon's needs. * Maintaining and updating preference cards.8 OR Suites +1 Cysto RoomApprox. 200-300+ cases per month *Additional 15% PRN differential added to base pay! * Schedule-PRN- Minimum of 5 shifts per 6 week schedule -two holidays per yrAs Needed for days or mid-shift for candidate availability. Either Days or Mid-shiftWhat You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * Previous OR experience required * Experience in a specialty field preferred* Basic Computer skills required* High School Diploma or GED required* Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required* Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program preferred* Current registration as a Surgical Tech is required unless performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another verified Colorado license, certification or registration required* Call Required: Weekday call various shifts from 0700-1930, available to cover call on the weekends if the need arises.
