*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

The fellow will develop technical skills in the clinical research area and think critically about addressing scientific research questions that may affect clinical practice in orthopedics.

This position will:

• Act as research fellow for sports medicine division.
• Prepare, submit, and edit IRB applications.
• Collect and analyze data for IRB-approved studies.
• Explore the neural and biomechanical mechanisms behind sport-related injuries
• Use tools such as 3D motion capture and virtual reality to measure athletes' biomechanics and power while they complete sport-specific tasksWork closely with orthopedic surgeons to collect, manage, and analyze their clinical data
• Serve as a liaison between clinical and research staff
• Construct and manage patient surveys
• Conduct research-related patient outreach

• Serve as a key member of the ACL reconstruction projects
• Support all aspects of data collection, data analysis, and manuscript development of ACL reconstruction projects
• Draft, revise, and submit manuscripts and abstracts for studies within the sports medicine division.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
