This position in the department of Health and Exercise Science in the College of Health and Human Sciences is a 9-month, full time, tenure/tenure track position. It is part of an interdisciplinary mental and behavioral health initiative by the College of Health and Human Sciences and within a cluster hire of 10-12 positions over the next two years to address core issues of mental and behavioral health, with special emphasis on the treatment and prevention of depression, suicide, addictions, and trauma, toward the broad goal of fostering resilience and promoting wellness.
Applicants are sought who have expertise in behavioral health and/or physical activity/exercise and mental health. The successful candidate is expected to establish a nationally recognized, externally funded research program, to integrate their research into existing department, college and university priority areas, and to teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students. The position will have outstanding department support, strong research infrastructure, and access to collaborative opportunities both within CSU and with industry partners.

Earned Ph.D. in Behavioral Health Sciences, Health Psychology, Kinesiology, Public Health, Health Promotion/Community Health, Health and Exercise Science or other related field
Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed research publications
Demonstrated promise to attract external funding related to behavioral health and/or physical activity/exercise and mental health that strengthens/broadens our current research areas
Evidence of a commitment to teaching and/or mentoring of undergraduate and graduate-level students
