Work Hours/Shift:  Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm 

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Determines Physical Therapy Diagnosis and establishes plan of care, make recommendations for referral if treatment needed outside of scope of Physical Therapist practice.
• Eligible to perform Direct Access Physical Therapy in OP setting, as indicated per state Physical Therapy practice act.
• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluate muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
• Designs and implements a treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient’s needs. Monitors patient’s response and progress to treatment and modifies treatment plan as appropriate.
• Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus five or more years of work experience in physical therapy, OR Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
• Licensed in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist, or Temporary State of Florida permit as Physical Therapist*
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Previous experience or clinical rotations in an outpatient setting, treating Neuro patients, preferred

 Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist – Outpatient professional provides direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accepts the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.
