KINESIOLOGY FACULTY POSITION
Northwestern College
Northwestern College (Orange City, Iowa) invites qualified applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Kinesiology to begin in August of 2021. Initial appointment would be at Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate can expect to teach courses in the areas of physical education, sports management and exercise science. The teaching load for this position is 24 hours per academic year, along with expectations for scholarship and service (advising, committee and departmental work, etc.).

Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold a graduate degree in a sub-discipline of kinesiology or a related field. Candidates will exhibit a love of Christ, an embrace of the Gospel, and support the college’s mission as expressed in our Statement of Christian Identity, Vision for Learning and Vision for Diversity. Northwestern College is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America. We seek faculty invested in teaching, a program of scholarly activity, and the mission of excellence in the liberal arts, as a vital expression of commitment to Christ’s redemptive work in the world.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred candidates will bring enthusiasm, experience and energy in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students in the disciplines of physical education, sports management and exercise science. Ability or experience in teaching a variety of kinesiology topics is highly desired. They will be engaged in their research and scholarly agenda with a strong possibility of including students. Hiring preference will be given to persons with teaching experience. |
