The Department of Human Physiology and Nutrition at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Applicants must have: 1) earned a PhD, or equivalent terminal degree, by start date; 2) a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching and 3) a human-participant-based research agenda that complements current faculty and integrates with programs in the new William J Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center (www.hyblcenter.org).
This position is designated as a 9-month tenure-track appointment set to begin August 2021. Faculty are expected to teach the equivalent of 15 credit hours of undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses each academic year (lectures and labs); advise undergraduate and graduate students; develop and maintain a successful line of research and scholarly publications; seek external funding that strengthens/broadens current areas of research; participate in both internal and external professional service activities; and demonstrate collaborative interests and collegiality in all aspects of faculty engagement. Candidates with expertise in the areas of human anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and exercise science are encouraged to apply. Applicants should possess good interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in English.
