EXERCISE SCIENCE/PHYSICAL EDUCATION- ASSISTANT PROFESSOR- (full-time, tenure track) position to begin August 2019. The Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation at Missouri Western State University is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor to teach classroom and online undergraduate courses in Exercise Science. Course may include sport and fitness nutrition, principles of aerobic training, exercise for special populations, advanced cardiovascular physiology, and applied techniques in personal training. The successful candidate will teach and develop coursework in Exercise Science in response to departmental needs and his/her area(s) of expertise, advise undergraduate health, physical education, and recreation majors, supervise field-based clinical and internship experiences, serve on committees within the department and college, engage in professional service and scholarly activities. The department features a recently updated Health/Exercise Science Lab as well as a newly renovated Personal & Commercial Fitness lab. REQUIRED: Earned doctorate degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or closely related field. ABD with all degree requirements including dissertation defense by the date of appointment will be considered. PREFERRED: University classroom and online teaching experience and ability to teach a range of undergraduate courses in exercise science.
