The University of Nebraska at Omaha College of Education’s School of Health and Kinesiology is seeking a full-time tenure-track assistant professor in Physical Activity in Health Promotion with an anticipated start date of August 2019.
Assistant Professor – Physical Activity in Health Promotion
Essential Duties: Teach undergraduate courses in Exercise Science and Public Health degree programs, and graduate courses in Physical Activity and Health Promotion MS/MA/PhD and Health Behavior MS/MA concentrations; supervise graduate students; conduct research and participate in scholarly activity; obtain external funding; provide departmental, college, university, and professional service. Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Physical Activity, Public Health, Health Promotion, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Physical Activity Epidemiology or related area (ABD considered). Evidence of effective teaching and scholarly research in one or more of the following areas: physical activity measurement, health promotion, public health, design and evaluation of physical activity interventions, use of technology to promote physical activity behavior, promotion of physical activity in individuals with chronic disease, physical activity epidemiology and/or quantitative research methods.
